HP Awarded Contract Extension by Shell for Hardware and Support Services
THE HAGUE, The Netherlands — Hewlett Packard Nederland B.V today announced that Shell has extended the HP hardware and services agreement to support Shell’s global business in more than 100 countries and for over 100,000 employees and contractors worldwide.
Under the renewed five-year agreement, HP will deliver more than 150,000 products to Shell including HP PCs, tablets, peripherals, printers, workstations, servers, storage and networking hardware as well as innovative IT integration and support services. All equipment will be provided either directly or through HP’s worldwide network of local channel partners.
“Global companies like Shell need quality tools and services for increased efficiency, which in turn will help them stay competitive in new developing areas as well as established markets,” said Pierre Jover, vice-president and general manager, Commercial Sales, Printing and Personal Systems EMEA, HP. “This contract renewal, which will bring HP’s uninterrupted period as Shell’s incumbent PC hardware supplier to over 14 years, will help secure that efficiency. With the broadest technology portfolio and a proven global delivery model, HP provides its clients with the capacity and flexibility to serve established and emerging markets cost-effectively.”
