Community Progess

Community Progress at HP centers on the belief that the same passion, energy, and culture of innovation that makes HP a successful company can also be used to make a profound and positive social impact in the world. HP Employee Community Engagement programs help share HP’s talent and technology where it is needed most.

We promote responsible practices in our supply chain, respect human rights, and strive for a workplace where all of our employees can flourish.

HP Canada Adopt a School Program

HP Canada employees kicked off the partnership with TL Kennedy Secondary School with "Experience the Workplace Day", in which 30 high school students visited HP Canada's head office.

During the day the students met with Employees from Finance, Operations, Marketing and Sales who discussed their roles at HP and their career paths. They also received a tour of HP's technology demonstration rooms and one-on-one job shadowing with HP employees.

"Congratulations, your agenda was awesome," said Kim Powidajko, TL Kennedy Co-op teacher. "Your speakers were fabulous and your mentors well chosen. Please thank everyone on our behalf. You ignited some young minds today. "

HP continues to partner with TL Kennedy by regularly hosting co-op students for mock interviews with HP employees to prepare them for the job market.

HP LIFE (Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs)

In 2012, HP LIFE e-Learning was launched – an innovative, online training program that helps entrepreneurs and small business owners learn IT and business skills in their own time, at their own pace. Together with our partner Education Development Center inc (EDC) an innovative, interactive online learning curriculum was designed that covers key elements and can be followed in a self-paced fashion - independently or as part of a classroom setting.

HP LIFE is freely available online to anyone anywhere in the world that is interesting in learning business skills. Check it out!
