Printer & Page Yield Overview
Page yield is the number of pages a user can print with a given printer and cartridge, based on certain assumptions.
HP participated in, supported the development of, and adopted the ISO/IEC 24711 standard for determining inkjet printer page yields. HP also participated in, supported the development of, and adopted the ISO/IEC 19752 and ISO/IEC 19798 standards for determining monochrome and color laser printer page yields.

Setup cartridges are designed for first use and may have different page yield than replacement cartridges . For setup page yields of current printers, click here.
To protect the printing system and ensure print quality, some HP ink cartridges use an "ink expiration date". However, most HP ink cartridges do not have ink expiration, which means there is no built-in date on which they stop working. To find out if your HP ink cartridge has ink expiration, click here.
