Discover 2013: Day Three Recap
Bill Veghte speaking today about converged cloud.
After three non-stop days of exciting sessions and activities, Discover 2013 came to a close in Las Vegas. We finished strong with a general session on HP Converged Cloud, continued engagement throughout the Discover Zone and a full slate of Transformation Workshops. You could really feel the sustained level of excitement because chatter amongst customers and partners continued to focus on HP's solutions for the new style of IT.
This morning's converged cloud session really got the ball rolling. Bill Veghte pointed to the need for enterprises and SMBs to confidently build, consume and manage IT across private, managed and public clouds. He then explained why only HP is positioned to fast-track the journey to the cloud, while also offering connectivity across printing and personal systems. Discover proved it’s partly due to our broad portfolio and partly the result of having the best minds in technology here at HP.
Today’s conversations also centered on the two previous general sessions. Meg's opening keynote highlighted HP's "Fix and Rebuild" year progress, our expansive business portfolio and leadership's commitment to go-to market initiatives. Day two keynotes from Dave Donatelli, George Kadifa, Mike Nefkens and Todd Bradley dove deeper into key elements of our portfolio to reinforce the benefits of our unmatched scale. Attendees and online audiences were buzzing about seeing HP's strategy for progress come to life.
