Meg Whitman Named to CNBC First 25: Top Rebels, Icons & Leaders

CNBC today revealed its final list of the 25 most influential business leaders of the past 25 years, and HP CEO Meg Whitman has made the cut. Nominated in early February, Meg was selected from an initial list of 200 business leaders and is one of only three women to make CNBC’s final list.

The business-news network, which reaches 371 million homes worldwide, explained that the men and women on the final list “were hand-picked for the transformative impact they have had on business, commerce, and the way we live.”

In a profile of Meg, CNBC noted, “Meg Whitman is the only woman to have headed two large U.S. public companies: eBay and Hewlett-Packard.” Her leadership style is called “forthright, hands-on and persistent.”

Meg recently shared her management checklist in a blog post on LinkedIn. Check out the image below to see what five questions she asks every day – questions that have helped her succeed.
