Robert Youngjohns serves as executive vice president of HP Software and member of HP’s Executive Council. He leads HP’s multi-billion dollar software portfolio that includes IT Operations Management, Application Delivery Management, HP Autonomy, Enterprise Security and HP Vertica. Together, this portfolio enables enterprise IT organizations to develop, operate, secure, govern, and monetize their data, applications and operations.
Robert Youngjohns previously served as senior vice president and general manager of the HP Autonomy/Information Management business unit, within HP Software. In this role, he was responsible for a portfolio of products that enabled companies to analyze and draw business value from unstructured information. Known for being a technology evangelist, Youngjohns has more than 30 years of sales, marketing, strategic business development and general management experience in the technology industry.
He joined HP from Microsoft where he was most recently president of Microsoft North America. Before he joined Microsoft, Youngjohns was president and CEO of Callidus Software, a $120 million public company, where he initiated the company's transition from traditional enterprise software to SaaS (Software as a Service). Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Sun Microsystems, where he had a variety of leadership positions in sales and general management both regionally and globally. Youngjohns also had a successful 18-year career at IBM, holding key leadership roles from deep technology specialization to general management.
Youngjohns holds a master's degree with honors in Physics and Philosophy from Oriel College, Oxford University.
