PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 22, 2011 – HP today announced that industry analyst firm IDC has named HP a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Managed Print Services 2011 Hardcopy Vendor Analysis Study.(1)
An independent and global provider of IT research, IDC completed its multivendor assessment study and identified that HP Managed Print Services (MPS) continues to maintain market leadership with high scores in strategic direction and offering capabilities.
Based on the report, HP’s market leadership is reflective of its comprehensive strategy to deliver a unified experience across the office, onsite production and external printing and imaging environments. Its broad portfolio is enriched with industry solutions and features such as HP ePrint, the Open Extensibility Platform (OXP) and FutureSmart firmware. In addition to HP’s existing direct MPS enterprise model, HP’s recent acquisition of Printelligent, a provider of managed print services, helps extend the company’s reach and enables it to delivers its world-class sales, services and print management expertise to small and medium-sized businesses through select channel partners who can now scale their engagements.
“HP is a leader in the worldwide managed print services market, providing a robust offering that includes a consultative approach to optimizing customers’ printing and document infrastructure, spanning distributed and centralized environments, and SMBs through enterprises,” said Angèle Boyd, group vice president and general manager, Imaging/Output Document Solutions and Small and Medium Business, IDC. “HP addresses a range of printing, imaging and document needs within an organization, with a strong focus on vertical-specific document-intensive workflows.”v About IDC MarketScape
