HP Busts your Bills Promotion - New Zealand

Terms and Conditions
  1. Definitions:
    The "Promotional Period" commences at 09.00AM (AEST) on 1 June 2012 and ends at 11.59PM (AEST) on 31 July 2012.
    "Eligible Reseller" means one of the following 8 resellers listed below who are participating in the Promotion and authorised to lodge claims on behalf of Participants:
    Acquire Ltd, Corporate Consumables Ltd, Corporate Express NZ, Datacom Systems (Auckland) Ltd, Datacom Systems (Wellington) Ltd, i3 NZ Ltd, LaserPlus Ltd, Office Product Depot, Officemax Ltd, PB Technologies Ltd.
    "Eligible Products" means new and Original HP LaserJet Toner Cartridges originating from the Promoter purchased in a single transaction from an Eligible Reseller.
    "Participant" means an entity trading in New Zealand, other than an Excluded Person, who purchases 3 or 5 Eligible Products in New Zealand during the Promotional Period from an Eligible Reseller and is the End User of those Eligible Products.
    "End user" is a Participant who purchases Eligible Products, from an Eligible Reseller, for use within its entity in New Zealand, and not for resale or re-supply or export.
    "Excluded Person" means:
    • the Promoter's related bodies corporate and agencies associated with this promotion (including, although not limited to resellers), and employees of the Promoter, its related bodies corporate and its agencies (including, although not limited to resellers) associated with this promotion and those employees' immediate families; and
    • Strategic Sales Program (SSP), Enterprise Supplies Partner (ESP) Program, Managed Print Services (MPS) and Managed Supplies Services (MSS) customers of the Promoter.
    "Promoter" means Hewlett-Packard New Zealand, 22 Viaduct Harbour Avenue, Auckland.
    "Promotion" means the "HP Busts your Bills Promotion" promotion run by the Promoter for the Promotional Periods.
    "Reward" means an HP Officejet Pro 8100 e-Printer valued at $249 RRP and three (3) entries into the Prize Draw for every purchased and approved claim of three (3) Original HP Toners or an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One valued at $529 RRP and five (5) entries into the Prize Draw for every purchased and approved claim of five (5) Original HP Toners. Highest reward denominations possible of either three (3) or five (5) will be awarded to claims based on the number of eligible HP products purchased. Denominations have to be in either three (3) or five (5) only as per the below table:

    "Prize Pool" means $10,000 NZD to be paid to the chosen winner in one lump sum via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). This payment will only be made to the trading entity that the claim was made on behalf of, not to any individual that may work for that entity.
    "Prize Draw" means one barrel draw on Friday the 28 September 2012 at 14:00 (02:00pm) AEST conducted at CROSSMARK Australia, Units 1 and 2, 39 Herbert Street, St Leonards NSW 2065.
    "Re-draw" means one barrel draw drawn on Monday the 19th November 2012 at 14:00 (02:00pm) AEDST conducted at CROSSMARK Australia, Units 1 and 2, 39 Herbert Street, St Leonards NSW 2065.
  2. Information on how to enter this Promotion, redemption details and Rewards form part of these terms and conditions. By submitting an entry, the Participant agrees to these terms and conditions.
  3. Entry is only open to a Participant. Entries must be submitted by the Eligible Reseller on behalf of the Participant. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of each entry, including whether the entrant qualifies as a Participant. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Participant or person tampering with, or conspiring with another person to tamper with, the entry process or any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements or does not comply with these terms and conditions.
  4. To enter the Promotion the following steps must be completed:
    1. during the Promotional Period, the Participant must purchase in New Zealand in a single transaction from an Eligible Reseller; 3 or 5 Eligible Products and be the End User of those Eligible Products;
    2. the Eligible Reseller, where the Eligible Products were purchased, must fully and correctly lodge a claim at www.hp.co.nz/supplies by the 7 August 2012, and provide the following correct details in the online Promotion entry form: Participant first name, Participant last name and Participant email address and submit a copy of the corresponding tax invoice (hand written tax invoices and delivery dockets will not be accepted as proof of purchase), by one of the following 2 methods, by the 14th August 2012:
      1. upload to the Promotion website at www.hp.co.nz/supplies as a PDF or Word file, using the document upload facility that will be provided at the website;
      2. via mail, with a copy of the claim submission document referencing the claim number, to the following address:

      Any claim submitted without the required proof of purchase documentation will be rejected. All documentation must be submitted by the 14th August 2012. Any documentation received after this date will not be validated and the corresponding claims declined.
    3. if the claim meets the Promotion terms and conditions the Participant will be sent an approval email to the email address that was nominated in Clause 4 (b) by the Eligible Reseller;
    4. the Participant will be required to click on the link and provide a delivery address for the nominated Reward, which must be completed by 14 September 2012 regardless of the Promotional Period in which the claim was lodged in. Participant(s) will forfeit submissions not made by 14 September 2012.
  5. This Promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotional product bundle.
  6. There will be one draw at 14:00 (02:00pm) AEST on Friday the 28 September 2012. The winner will be notified by mail and the winner's name will be published on the competition website, on the 12 October 2012. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. The winner of the Prize Draw will need to validate their entries by providing the original tax invoice for the purchase, via mail, at:

  8. A Re-draw for the Prize, if unclaimed by 16:59 (04.59pm) AEDST on Friday the 24 November 2012, may take place at 14:00 (02:00pm) AEDST on Monday the 27 November 2012, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winners will be notified by mail and the winner's name will be published on the competition website, on the 14 December 2012. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The winner of the Re-draw will need to validate their entries by providing the original tax invoice for the purchase, via mail, at:

  10. The HP Printer Reward values are in New Zealand dollars, are inclusive of GST, and are correct at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in such value of Rewards, except for the Prize Pool, which will be guaranteed at $10,000 NZD. The payment for this prize will be paid to the winner's nominated bank account within 28 days.
  11. The Promoter's decision on all matters pertaining to this Promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into, except as otherwise stated in these terms and conditions. To the extent permitted by law, no correspondence will be entered into after three (3) weeks from the final Closing Date of this Promotion. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter reserves the right to change, amend or terminate the Promotion at any stage during the Promotional Period.
  12. The Promoter will accept no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail. Further the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, without limitation, indirect, consequential or economic loss), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in this Promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Further, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes liability for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any unauthorised intervention, or any combination thereof, including any non-delivery or corruption of entries to the Promoter, injury or damage to Participants' or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this Promotion. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a Participant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Participant invalid. If the Promoter has not entered into any correspondence with the Participant prior to the Closing Date of this Promotion, it is the responsibility of the Participant to contact the Promotion to ensure their claim has been received and/or been verified.
  13. Please allow up to sixty (60) days from the date when the Participant provides delivery details in order for the HP Printer Reward to be processed and to receive the Reward.
  14. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for misleading or incorrect information provided by a reseller regarding this Promotion.
  15. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter's privacy policy may be viewed at:

  16. The Promoter will use the information contained in the Promotion entry form to contact Participants if it has any queries regarding claims, and where to send Rewards. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to its related bodies corporate and agencies assisting with the Promotion, which may be outside the participating country and as required, to New Zealand regulatory authorities. If the information requested is not provided, the Participant may not participate in this Promotion. If the Participant gives his or her consent the Promoter may contact the Participant from time to time with information about special offers and products and services that may interest the Participant, but the Participant may unsubscribe later if the Participant no longer wishes to receive further marketing information. Participant may also contact the Promoter to change his or her details.
  17. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any fault pertaining to, or purchased using, the Reward. Participants will need to liaise directly with Hewlett-Packard for any repair and/or replacement.
