There’s a broad range of internships available – all lasting 13 months – covering sales, marketing, business and IT, so we’re bound to have a role to suit you.

Please note that although many of our roles are Bracknell based, specific positions could take you to any one of our sites in the UK, so you’ll need to be prepared to relocate. The location of the role will be specified at interview stage.

Sales

Our portfolio spans printing, personal computing, software, services and IT infrastructure. Our sales teams make sure people and businesses all over the world know about what we do and how we can help them. As an intern in sales, you’ll get the chance to apply your classroom knowledge to a real-world business environment and work with experts. You’ll also be part of a large intern community. Supported and encouraged by the rest of HP, they play an active role in the various social and charity events we hold throughout the year.

Software as a Service (SaaS) sales support

As an intern here, you’ll work alongside our operations and marketing teams, as well as business development managers on a number of projects designed to sell our SaaS products.
You could be organising events, targeting specific customers, providing marketing support or helping to manage the forecasting process. Whatever your day-to-day role, you’ll get a valuable insight in the sales and operations profession, and the software industry.

We’re looking for high achievers who are expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a business or operations focused degree. You don’t have to know about software products, but you will have to know how to use MS Office. Sales Support

Our LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions Go-To-Market Unit oversees the sales and marketing of our printing solutions and services to business. Working here, you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of our portfolio as you support our account managers and channel partners. Day-to-day, you could be developing collateral, planning marketing communications, supporting sales promotions and tracking their success. Whatever you’re doing, you’ll gain a valuable insight in the sales profession, and the software industry as a whole.

Technology Services Sales Support Internship

The Technology Services Division at HP are looking to recruit an Intern to work alongside our field sales representatives in this highly lucrative, business focused sales segment. You will work alongside a sales team that is driven to achieve results. Your role would involve liaising regularly with our valued set of business customers and also engaging with colleagues internally within the company that can help you to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. As an intern here, you’ll work in our Managed Enterprise Servers Storage & Networking business unit, helping with performance reporting, problem solving and opportunity assessment. You could be helping sales representatives to sell our “try and buy” loan system for our hardware, managing the budget for this scheme, consolidating sales forecasts, analysing weekly sales against targets, managing projects or helping a business unit with their reporting. Whatever your day-to-day role, you’ll gain a valuable insight into the business and strategies of a global company.

Service Provider Sales Support Internship

As an intern in this department you will work to support the Enterprise Group (EG) division of Hewlett Packard UK&I. A key part of your role will be supporting the Head of Alliances & Service Providers UK&I. Key tasks within this role include participating in the bi-weekly forecasting process; producing Business Unit sales reports, joining Service Provider forecast calls every second Friday. Also, as cloud computing is an expanding area of the organization you may also be required to assist in various projects with the Director of cloud computing and their team.

Requirements
We’re looking for someone driven, who is expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a business or a related degree. To be an intern in this department you don’t have to know about software products but it essential that you know how to use MS Office and PowerPoint, especially Excel. Attention to detail is a very important role without this role as is time management, confident communication skills and an enthusiastic attitude. You’ll also need to be able to work on your own as well as part of a team, and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Alliances Sales Support Internship

As an intern here you’ll work to support the UK&I Alliances division of Hewlett Packard. You will play a key supporting role for multiple managers across the EG team. You could be assisting UK&I Alliances in the bi-weekly sales forecasting process: running and maintaining pipeline reports, producing weekly deal tracking reports, organising and attending partner meetings, liaising with sales and sales managers to ensure accurate forecast reporting. This may include implementing new ways of presenting information to achieve best outcomes.

As an intern here, you’ll work across every one of our business units, ensuring our marketing and business messages are getting to the right people both inside and outside of HP.
You could be dealing with internal announcements of our marketing, sales and business information, managing our online content, updating our website or running calls with our external marketing agencies. Whatever your day-to-day role you’ll gain a valuable insight into the marketing campaigns – including social media, direct marketing and online advertising – of a global company.

You could be the lead on small to medium-sized events or supporting campaign managers on large-scale trade shows and external events. Your role could also cover managing online webinars and creating web event pages. As an intern here, you’ll drive press and analyst relations – liaising with colleagues across the globe to increase the internal and external profile of HP.
On a day-to-day basis, you could be analysing and producing coverage reports, driving internal communications, supporting external events or writing and following up press releases. You’ll also attend regular meetings with the marketing and PR teams for the entire EMEA region. As an intern here, you’ll build and make the most of the relationships our customers have with our online digital photo printing service – Snapfish. Working with your manager, you’ll develop annual promotional objectives, plans and budgets for websites, email and a host of other marketing channels.
On a day-to-day basis, you could be testing and optimising emails, helping to manage direct mail campaigns, setting up customer research, updating website copy or working with PR agencies and bloggers to ensure Snapfish gets the coverage it deserves. Software services marketing

As an intern here, you’ll support all the marketing campaigns for our software services.
On a day-to-day basis, this could include organising events, coordinating marketing campaigns and their follow up or preparing and delivering briefing documents and presentations. Software Marketing Support Intern, as an intern here, you’ll work In the Regional Integrated Marketing Center. You could support senior EMEA Channel Communications-Newsletters and email communications or helping to manage, schedule and support internal HP events, as well as supporting partner events across EMEA. You would have opportunity to develop and support market research and marketing strategy. You can expect to get involved with HP’s work with SME’s across different BU’s within the organisation, hosting as well as attending networking events. This role offers the chance to be creative and innovative, developing and stretching media skills to come up with and develop regular media clips to be uploaded to the HP UK&I Intranet site.

You could be coordinating and supporting HP Way Now programme, Sports and Social Club campaigns and providing support to our Site Leader Programme Lead, assisting with quarterly webcasts. On a day-to-day basis, you could be managing and supporting both specific customer-facing and internal events and initiatives, creating and editing media clips to be placed onto the UK&I staff intranet page.

As an intern here, you’ll work in our Managed Enterprise Solutions organisation. In collaboration with the business manager, you’ll look to driving our competitive pricing in the printing and copying market.
You could be analysing sales and costs figures for reports and forecasting, learning about profit and loss reporting or gaining an in-depth knowledge of our wide-ranging services. Through this we’ll look to you to become a specialist on our services, where they sit in the sales cycle and be able to explain what we do in a succinct and persuasive way in order for us to win new business. Our world-class Global Procurement organisation is responsible for all spend related to non-production goods and services. We procure everything from technology (such as hardware, software and telecommunications) to marketing, outside labour, facilities and business services. As an intern here, you’ll be working with over 1,000 employees worldwide, helping to improve our efficiency, drive down costs and streamline processes.

You’ll most likely be working on one or more of our large accounts or a transformation programme. This will involve gathering and analysing data, formulating transformation strategies and supporting them as they’re carried out. Whatever your day-to-day role, you’ll be working with people across our organisation, while gaining a valuable insight into the business and strategies of a global company.

HP Enterprise Services – Management Information Analyst

As an intern here you will be working in the HP Enterprise Services Business Unit. This area of the business provides industry leading IT services to the Commercial, Financial and Public sectors; harnessing the widest portfolio of service offerings including; Business Process Outsourcing, Infrastructure Technology Outsourcing and Applications Services. The role sits within the Sales Operations team for the UK and Ireland Region. The objective of the team is to be a support unit, providing management information and performance analysis which form the basis for many of the day-to-day business and sales decisions. You will become the Subject Matter Expert on HP’s client relationship management application – in turn providing training via conference call-ins, presentations and tutorials.



Requirements
We want to hear from enthusiastic team players who are expecting at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent, and who have a keen interest in IT (basic understanding of Visual Basic). New Business and Governance Specialist

The New Business and Governance Specialist provides support and assurance to the Engagement Customer Operations (ECO) Team, ensuring that all new orders and SoX related project activities are performed accurately whilst remaining compliant with corporate policies. You could be helping to maintain the admin log with detail of all new non-standard terms and conditions, validating of new business orders, ensuring compliance with worldwide policies. Liaising with teams across the organisation - including Finance, Legal, Sales, Credit and Collections - to gain input to the decision making process as to whether an order can be processed.

As an intern here, you’ll be central to determining, building and implementing the IT solutions for our clients. You’ll get the chance to apply your classroom knowledge to a real-world environment and work with experts. You’ll also be part of a large intern community. IT analyst

As an intern here, you’ll work with the IT solution manager to review what our clients’ need in terms of IT, and help to deliver a product or service that helps them.
You could be helping to build a functional specs document, making sure the technical specs match up, carrying out tests or analysing and prioritising errors and problems and agreeing solutions. You’ll also help with managing the release and post-implementation. This will test your project management skills to the full as you could be securing sign offs and approvals, monitoring status and activities of the project, scheduling the release, organising resources and coordinating teams. Whatever your day-to-day role, you’ll gain a valuable insight into what it takes to deliver outstanding IT solutions for key clients.

Requirements
We’re looking for high achievers who are expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in an IT-related subject. This will have given you knowledge of SQL, an understanding of IT/SDLC processes and the proven ability to write functional specs, use cases and test cases. Our intern opportunities are designed to get the most out of the best undergraduates. We do this by giving you the opportunity to gain experience and exposure across a range of our businesses.

We have a range of technical roles for interns and the role you fill will be determined by your skills, education and our business needs. Our recent roles have covered software engineering, IT customer support for our applications and infrastructure administration. We’re looking for high achievers who are in their second year of a four-year course and are expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in IT, computer engineering or a related field. Previous work experience in the IT industry would be a real advantage and an understanding of MS Office is essential. A confident communicator and excellent organiser, you’ll combine a proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a commercial focus and passion for learning. You’ll also need to be able to work on your own and as part of a team, and must be eligible to work in the UK.

As an Applications Development Management intern you can experience both business and technical service management roles utilising ITIL best practice for HP’s clients within the public and commercial sectors. Our internship offers you the opportunity to experience a series of strategic rotations to ensure you gain exposure to all parts of our business. We have a range of roles for interns and the role you fill will be determined by your skills, education and our business needs. Our recent roles have covered Incident Management, Knowledge Management and Operations roles supporting key strategic hubs within HP Enterprise Services.
