HP customers take advantage of a golden opportunity at Sign & Digital

BARCELONA, Spain, 13 April2012 - HP today reported that Sign & Digital UK was a hugesuccess for the company, with a significant number of sales securedat the show and widespread interest shown in the company's latestwide-format products.

HP's stand featured anextensive product line-up, demonstrating its position as a leadingsupplier of innovative wide-format digital printing technology forhigh impact graphic arts applications.

Sign & Digital visitorscould also take advantage of HP's exclusive at-show £1000 or €1250'golden ticket' cashback promotion redeemable on the two latest HPLatex Printers. The tickets were on offer to the first 50 customersto confirm orders of the HP Designjet L28500 and HP DesignjetL26500 Printers.

"The Golden Ticketpromotion proved to be an enormous success, with the demand fortickets outstripping the 50 tickets available," said Phil Oakley,UK & Ireland country manager, HP Designjet, GSB. "In addition,visitors showed a huge amount of interest in the other solutionsfrom our large-format portfolio and the total orders placedincluded several for the HP Scitex FB500 and FB700 Printers. In myopinion, Sign & Digital 2012 was one of our most successful UKshows in the last five years based on the amount of customer ordersplaced."

The HP Designjet L28500 andL26500 Printers feature HP 792 Latex Inks that enable print serviceproviders (PSPs) to produce odourless(1) prints to help meet theneeds of environmentally-conscious customers. Both printers areideal for the production of indoor and outdoor signage, such aspoint-of-purchase displays, soft signage and vehicle graphics.

Budgeprint, based inBrighton, UK, purchased an HP Designjet L26500 Printer on the firstday of Sign & Digital. "The environmental credentials of the HPDesignjet L26500 were paramount but in addition, the mediaversatility and fast throughput made it the clear choice to enableus to extend the variety of applications we offer in the shortturnaround times our customers require," said Matthew Etkin-Budge,managing director, Budgeprint.

Ramzan Anwar, came to theshow to purchase the printer that will enable his newly foundedcompany, DrWraps, to open for business. "When deciding whichprinter would allow us to fulfil our company's first orders, weknew we needed a versatile solution that would produce high-qualitygraphics and meet our objectives as an environmentally consciousprint supplier. The HP Designjet L26500 Printer ticked all theseboxes."

One of the first goldentickets issued for the HP Designjet L28500 Printer went toSunderland-based, large-format printer, wherethetradebuys. Managingdirector, Martyn Young, came to the show to place the order for thecompany's seventh HP Designjet printer.

"We currently have two HPLatex printers and we find one of the biggest advantages of thistechnology is its ability to deliver quick turnaround times. Theoutput dries inside the printer so we can use or finish itimmediately. Not only does this boost our productivity but it helpsus to keep our next-day-delivery promise to our customers, andtheir satisfaction is crucial.
