HP Makes Unified Communications Available to Small and Medium Businesses with Outsourcery
LONDON, July 11, 2013 – HP today announced that it will work with hosted cloud service provider Outsourcery and selected HP partners to make efficient, affordable unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) capabilities available to small and medium businesses (SMBs).
Outsourcery’s reliable cloud delivery model, based on an Converged Cloud solution including infrastructure, software and services, will allow organisations with 200-1,000 employees to improve communications, increase cost-efficiency and drive revenue.
“UC&C enables businesses to work in smarter, more effective ways, but SMBs may not have the expertise or budget to implement it,” says Michael Clifford, director, cloud computing, HP United Kingdom & Ireland. “Leveraging Outsourcery’s cloud hosting platform and the implementation expertise of specialised partners, HP now enables SMBs to cost-effectively deploy unified communications on a pay-per use basis.”
UC&C services available via the cloud will include voice over IP (VoIP), video conferencing, Microsoft Lync for audio conferencing and chat, and Microsoft Exchange for email and document management. Dependant on size and complexity, these will be deployed on a multi-tenant platform or in a dedicated environment in Outsourcery’s secure data centers in London and Leicester. On-site implementation and support will be provided by the following selected HP partners:
• Damovo – a Gold Microsoft partner focusing on managed connectivity, data networking and UC&C • IP Solutions – a business communications consultancy with more than ten years’ experience of delivering cost-effective contact solutions • Neptune Consultancy Services – a consultancy specialising in managed services, intelligent business security and unified communications • Freedom Communications – a solutions provider delivering expertise in networking, telephony and communications.
“More companies are looking to transform the way that IT serves their business,” says Piers Linney, Co-CEO of Outsourcery. “They want their IT delivered as a service, with fast deployment and minimal need for capital investments. This new service will give SMBs the same access to unified communications and collaboration as larger enterprises.”
