Internship Programme - Professional and Personal Development
Throughout the year you’ll undertake regular training and have one-to-one meetings with your manager, all to aid your personal and professional development. With our open-plan offices and dynamic working culture, you’ll also be able to network with senior managers who can help to drive your career forward. The success of our program leads to a large number of Interns returning to HP as Graduates, and many Interns are fast-tracked through the Graduate application process.

Technical
The technical roles for Interns include, but are not limited to software engineering, supporting IT applications for customers and infrastructure administration. We are looking for Interns who are studying an IT, computer engineering or equivalent degree. You will be a proactive individual with the ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced work environment. In addition to your technical skills, excellent written and verbal communication is paramount.

Sales
As an Intern within the Sales environment you could be involved with elements of pricing, marketing decisions, account management and supporting sales reps. To be successful in this area you will need to be organised and have the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. You must be independent with the ability to demonstrate initiative, drive, enthusiasm and accuracy. In turn, we offer you the opportunity to work along side world-class sales professionals, and experience working in a global industry leader.

Marketing
Marketing roles in HP could see you supporting campaign managers, liaising with external agencies in the coordination and delivery of successful marketing campaigns, involved with internal communications and market research. We are looking for students with a sound understanding of marketing concepts, who can demonstrate some work experience or participation in meaningful extra-curricular activities in this field. Team-working skills and excellent communication are essential, along with the ability to work proactively.

Business
Our roles within Business cover a broad range of roles from planning, procurement, and operations through to customer service and project roles. They cover all our general business roles and they give you the opportunity to gain experience and exposure across many of HP’s businesses. We’re looking for people with strong organisational skills who can challenge the way things are done and are keen to explore new solutions.

Finance
Within our Finance areas your role will be varied and provide you with exceptional industry experience. You could be involved with reporting, monitoring costs, process reviews and financial analysis. An internship in Finance is the opportunity to discover and practice finance/business control within a global organisation. To be successful in this area you need excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. It is essential you have a demonstrated financial background and are comfortable working in both teams and in an autonomous capacity.

HR
If you are a proactive, motivated individual, willing to learn and have the ability to work in a team, you might be the right fit for UK&I HR Staffing Department. To join our team of high-class in-house recruiters you will need to be able to prioritise in order to manage multiple deadlines, as well as demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skills. The role not only offers you the opportunity to get involved in student attraction, recruitment and on-boarding, but also equips you with the experience of working in a dynamic and diverse market leader.

Marketing Communications
Internship roles in marketing communications will give Interns the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of marketing activity, from online marketing campaigns, internal communications, end-customer direct mail, press advertising, events management and public relations, to name but a few. Managing and delivering marketing communications to end users, Interns are given the opportunity to work directly with marketing agencies, gain experience in writing marketing briefs, maintain strong customer experiences across marketing campaigns, collect and report ROI, understand HP products and input on how best to promote them and work closely with the planning team to create timely, cost-effective integrated marketing campaigns in accordance with HP’s business plans. The marketing teams comprise of supportive individuals with a passion for marketing and the drive to achieve results through using their own initiative, taking advantage of opportunities and ensuring a hard-working, dedicated approach is taken at all times. If you have strengths in organisational skills, are able to use your own initiative and are particularly good at paying attention to detail, a role in a HP Marketing Communications Team might be right for you.
