Les Ulis, Aug 9 2013 – HP today announced that it has selected Open Wide to help meet the needs of customers in France with Open Source environments. The agreement expands HP’s integrated offering with hundreds of additional components to support organisations whose Open Source environments continue to evolve.
Open Wide Group provides value-added services for cloud and Open Source infrastructures through its national and international points of presence. The company hosts, manages and maintains more than 600 physical and virtual platforms for customers from enterprises to SMBs. Open Wide’s catalogue of software includes more than 200 applications in the areas of infrastructure, security, networks, systems, tools and languages.
"In order to provide high quality services for customers with Open Source environments, HP France needed to cover a wider range of software components and get closer to the Open Source communities,” says Olivier Labbé, services director, HP France. “After an assessment of the market players, Open Wide proved that they have all the technical and human qualities to develop this offering.”
With the addition of Open Wide, HP France now offers a single point of entry for global infrastructure support for Open Source solutions. Open Wide will provide level two and level three support with technology expertise and complementary audits for HP customers on its catalogue components. A framework of ITIL best practices will serve as a common reference for operational processing, and service quality and customer satisfaction will be regularly measured.
"We are very proud of the confidence that HP has placed in us, and we are fully mobilised to add value to HP’s Open Source customers,” says Erich Morana, CEO, Open Wide. “The agreement with HP gives us a tremendous opportunity for growth."
