SWITZERLAND, August 16th, 2013 —Hewlett-Packard (Schweiz) GmbH today announced that global industrial component supplier Datwyler has signed an agreement with HP to minimise risk in all its activities by ensuring high availability of IT services and continuous reliable operations.
Under the six-and-a-half-year agreement, HP will provide a full scope of HP IT Infrastructure Outsourcing Services to create a more agile, secure and scalable technology infrastructure for Datwyler.
With more than 50 operating companies, sales in over 100 countries and some 7,000 employees, the Datwyler Group generates annual revenue in excess of CHF 1,400 million. The Group supplies IT, electronic and engineering components as well as bespoke sealing solutions to the manufacturing automotive, pharmaceutical and civil engineering industries worldwide. Datwyler sealing elements are used in more than 450 tunnels on five continents.
The services provided by HP, including HP Utility Cloud Services, Workplace Services, Security Services, Service Management and Service Desk, will be delivered out of the HP European Cloud Services Center Switzerland and rolled out in a controlled, transparent manner. Structured, proven processes will minimise risk and enable a smooth transformation to an HP-managed state by January 1st 2015.
