What is the HP Global Partner Conference?
HP Global Partner Conference (GPC 2016) is a once-a-year, invitation-only partner event. Over a thousand of HP’s most important partners from around the world attend. At GPC, HP shares the latest news for the channel, proven selling strategies and more about HP’s strategic direction, via general sessions, executive meetings and roundtable discussions.
What are the dates and location of the GPC 2016?
GPC 2016 is being held on September 11-14, 2016 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.
Is GPC 2016 a joint event with Hewlett Packard Enterprise?
For the convenience of our joint partners, the HP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise GPC events are co-located in Boston on the same dates, but they are separate events. Sponsor and Evening Celebrations will be conducted jointly, but content sessions will be conducted separately.
How do I know if I am considered a joint partner?
You will be notified through your invitation and registration process. Communications will be sent to you with both HP and Hewlett Packard logos and each companies’ Partner Business Managers will be copied.
How much is a GPC 2016 Conference Pass?
The partner registration fee is US $1,395.

How do I request a meeting with an HP Executive?
Contact your Partner Business Manager prior to the GPC event and they will submit a request on your behalf.
How do I know what HP Executives are available for meetings at GPC?
Your Partner Business Manager will advise you on what executives are available for meetings.
How do I know when my meeting has been approved?
Your Partner Business Manager will advise you accordingly. You can also see what 1:1 meetings have been scheduled by accessing your GPC 2016 Personalized Agenda under “My Agenda” tab.
What is the duration of each meeting?
Each meeting is scheduled for 45-minutes with a 15-minute break between meetings.
Where will HP Executive Meetings be held?
All HP meetings are held in the HP Meeting Center, located in the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Hall A, adjacent to the HP Innovation Showcase. The Boston Convention & Exhibition Center is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Westin Waterfront Boston Hotel via the overpass
For Partners attending as a joint partner (HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise). HPE sessions, will be held in the HPE Meeting Center, also in the BCEC Hall A.
How will I know what room number to go to?
Room assignments will be released approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. Full meeting details will be included on your GPC 2016 Personalized Agenda under “My Agenda” tab.
When should I arrive for my assigned meeting?
Meeting details can be found via the GPC 2016 Personalized Agenda under “My Agenda” tab. Your unique email address and password (created upon registration) will be required to access the site. Your personalized agenda will include details on general events and your personalized itinerary items, such as pre-selected Breakout Sessions and approved 1:1 Meetings with HP Executives.
Can I access my GPC Personalized Agenda via the GPC Mobile App?
Yes, you will be able to view your personalized agenda via the GPC Mobile Application, which will be available approximately 2 weeks prior to the event.
Registration and Payment
I have not received an invitation. How do I get invited to GPC 2016?
Please contact your HP Partner Business Manager (PBM) directly to inquire. GPC 2016 is a by invitation-only event.
I received an invitation to GPC 2016, but I am not able to attend. May I nominate an alternate colleague to attend on my behalf?
Participation at GPC is by invitation only and is non-transferable. If you have questions, please contact your PBM directly.
Can I apply marketing development funds to cover the cost of my conference pass and accommodations?
You may qualify for application of MDF to the GPC 2016 conference pass and accommodations. During the registration process, qualifying Partners are asked to accept the MDF funding terms and conditions. You will then need to submit for reimbursement from MDF following the conference. As this process varies by region, please contact your PBM for additional details. *Please note our joint partners with Hewlett Packard Enterprise may only claim 50% funding from each company.
How can I request an invoice for GPC 2016?
After registration, at any time you may log back in to your registration profile and click on the “print receipt” button on the landing page. This will generate a taxable invoice, including the key information which you provided during the registration process.
What is the Cancellation Policy for GPC?
If you must cancel your event registration, the following cancellation terms apply:
- Please submit your cancellation request, in writing, to support@GPCBoston2016.com
- Through to August 26, 2016 – a $100 processing fee will be applied to all cancellations
- After August 26, 2016, no refunds will be provided. You will be charged the full conference fee
Travel and Accommodations
What are the full agenda dates for GPC that I should plan for my stay in Boston?
- HP Inc. GPC full agenda dates are from September 12-14 inclusive
- Hewlett Packard Enterprise GPC full agenda dates are from September 12-14 inclusive
Is there funding available for travel to GPC 2016?
All attendees are responsible for booking and funding their own travel arrangements to GPC 2016, unless otherwise communicated by your partner business manager (PBM).
How do I book a hotel?
All hotel accommodations should be booked via the registration tool. Once you have received your invitation and follow the provided registration link to confirm your attendance to the GPC Conference, you will see a “Modify / Book Hotel” button. This will direct you to the terms and conditions of booking accommodations and allow you to select your preferred hotel from those available at the discounted event rates.
What are the required hotel room nights?
Hotel accommodations are a three night minimum. September 11 through to September 13 inclusive.
What are the HP negotiated hotel rates?
Prices vary depending on the hotel, but the average cost is $US 365++ per night. HP has negotiated rates with select Boston-area hotels for the three full agenda nights, as well as and three nights before and after GPC.
Unless stated otherwise, hotel room rates are based on single occupancy in standard rooms, exclusive of resort fees, hotel service charges and any applicable local tax. Taxes are subject to change and will be charged at the prevailing rate upon check out from the hotel. HP and their associated agencies cannot be held responsible for any changes to city tax rates.
What hotels will be offering the negotiated GPC 2016 rates?
The following hotels may be offered during your registration, subject to availability:

How do I change my hotel reservation?
Partners may shorten or extend their hotel stay, subject to hotel availability, up to and including August 12, 2016. Please log in to your GPC registration profile and select “Modify/Book Hotel.”
All changes to hotel reservations are subject to hotel availability at the time the change request is submitted. If fewer nights are being requested, HP will attempt to resell the room nights you might need to reduce. However, this cannot be guaranteed, and the cancellation policy will apply after September 2, 2016.
How do I cancel a hotel reservation?
In the event you have to cancel a hotel booking, the following cancellation terms apply
- Prior to and including August 12, 2016 – no cancellation fee required
- Between August 13 to September 2, 2016 – two nights room and tax payable
- Between September 2, 2016 and the event – no refunds may be applied. Attendee will be responsible for 100% of the original reservation fees.
To cancel, please return to your GPC registration profile and click the “Modify/Book Hotel” button on the landing page. You will then find an option to cancel the reservation. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to housing@GPCBoston2016.com.
Can I change hotels?
If the hotel reservation is changed to a hotel with a higher room rate, a supplementary payment will be due. If the hotel booking is changed to another hotel after August 12, 2016, the cancellation terms as outlined above will apply to the original hotel booking.
Who do I contact if I have questions specifically in regard to a hotel booking?

How do I request visa support?
You will be prompted to request Visa support during registration. If you select yes to prompt, the visa support team will contact you directly. All visa inquiries should be sent to: visasupport@GPCBoston2016.com.
What transportation is available between the airport and my hotel?
Upon arrival, attendees are responsible for their own transportation between the airport and their designated hotel.
*Specific groups may have arranged shuttle service between the airport and hotel. For these groups, transportation details will be communicated directly by the regional representatives.
How do attendees get to/from the hotel to the BCEC?
There will be shuttle service provided each day of GPC (Monday, September 12 – Wednesday, September 14) between all hotels and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC).
Shuttles will run from 6:45 a.m. – 9 a.m. and in the afternoon’s from 4:30 pm – 7 p.m., and will be extended to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening (September 13) for the evening activities.
