HP Connected Backup comes installed on many new HP notebook and desktop PCs running
Windows 8.
It is also available for download here. Once you have installed HP Connected Backup, launch the application and follow the steps to subscribe.*

Existing subscribers

As long as you have an active subscription, your files remain on HP's servers regardless of what happens to your computer. Therefore, if your computer is lost, stolen, or experiences a hard disk failure, you can recover your files.
If you need to install HP Connected Backup on another PC, it is available for download here.

If you need to retrieve the files you’ve already backed up on another PC to a new or replacement PC running Windows 7 or Windows 8, you will need to migrate your files stored on HP's servers to the new or replacement PC. The migration process also moves your account to your new computer. Therefore, after the migration process starts, you will not be able to use HP Connected Backup on your old computer.
