HP Powers UN Climate Change Conference
HP was selected to provide our low-carbon IT solutions for the 2010 Climate Change Conference (COP16), including notebook and desktop PCs, data center and networking equipment, and supplies. Using desktop systems, we supplied high-definition video communications, no matter where the attendee was. These HP Video Collaboration solutions reduced travel-related carbon emissions for COP16.
The Government of Mexico is redeploying the HP equipment into existing government IT infrastructure after the event.
Just like at COP15 in Copenhagen, we featured our UN Climate Wall at COP16, where HP TouchSmart PCs enabled people to be seen and heard by the global delegations at the Moon Palace and Climate Village. Using video content and tweets, the displays shared stories from around the world with the world leaders who attended the conference.
