Can HP provide technology for a local nonprofit or school in need?
Due to the hundreds of requests we receive every year it is impossible to fulfill every inquiry. That is why our grants are strategically chosen to align with annually developed social innovation initiatives. We do not accept unsolicited requests from educational institutions, not-for-profit organizations or individuals.
Can I get an HP equipment donation (laptop, printer, etc.)?
HP assists hundreds of organizations annually with contributions of equipment, cash and volunteers. However, because our support is limited to grants that align with annually developed social innovation initiatives, we do not take unsolicited requests from educational institutions, not-for-profit organizations or individuals.
You may want to seek support through a charitable, not-for-profit organization in your community. For a listing of these organizations operating in your region, we suggest you contact the local United Way or a local community charitable foundation office.
Does HP provide laptops for college?
HP assists hundreds of organizations annually with contributions of equipment, cash and volunteers. Because our support is limited to grants that align with annually developed social innovation initiatives, we are unable to assist individuals through financial contributions, scholarships, computer donations, discounts or loans.
You may want to seek support through a charitable, not-for-profit organization in your community. For a listing of these organizations operating in your region, we suggest you contact the local United Way or a local community charitable foundation office.
Can the HP Office of Global Social Innovation sponsor my conference/fundraiser/sports event?
It is against HP corporate guidelines for Social Innovation funds to be used for sponsorship purposes of any kind. This includes conferences, contests, door prizes, festivals, fundraising activities, incentive programs, marketing, promotional items, raffles, registration fees, research or feasibility studies, scholarships, seminars, sponsorships including table events and sports events.

Can I get a personal grant from HP to start my business/fund my technology idea?
While we applaud the innovation of entrepreneurs around the world, HP does not provide funding of this nature. As many countries provide funding support for entrepreneurs, you may want to visit your regional and federal government websites to find out about the resources that are available in your area.
Can HP provide volunteers for a nonprofit event?
Hewlett-Packard is a passionate supporter and advocate of volunteerism. We actively encourage our employees to volunteer in many ways – through pro bono, skills-based, and helping hands initiatives.
We currently work through YourCause, to provide volunteering opportunities to our employees around the world. They offer a wealth of resources to help you find the volunteer opportunities you need.
Does HP have a scholarship program?
Currently our Social Innovation program does not includes scholarship programs of any sort.
How does the HP Foundation work?
From strengthening educational opportunities in science and math to responding to natural disasters, the Hewlett-Packard Company Foundation provides cash grants, focuses aid, and matches employee giving to ensure our contributions make the greatest difference.
The HP Company Foundation coordinates efforts with the HP Office of Global Social Innovation, which manages employee donations and product giving. The Foundation doesn't accept unsolicited grant requests.
To support relief efforts, the Foundation works with top nongovernmental organizations, including the American Red Cross, AmeriCares, Doctors Without Borders, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent, Save the Children, UNICEF, and World Food Program—USA.
Does Social Innovation fund other areas besides Education, Health and Volunteerism?
HP's Office of Global Social Innovation helps share HP talent and technology where they are needed most. With our powerful combination of enthusiastic people, innovative technology, and international presence, we focus on the areas where we can make the biggest impact: Education, Entrepreneurship, Health, and Community Involvement.
We do not provide support in any other areas. In order to have the maximum impact we have decided to focus our effort on these four strategic areas.
