HP Mexico job search course
HP Mexico employees helped students gain job search skills.
More than one hundred young men received help starting their professional lives and finding jobs, thanks to a series of workshops created last year by HP Mexico human resources professionals.
The sessions are designed in collaboration with psychologists and aim to help graduating students at the nonprofit Villa de los Niños, a foster home for boys based in Guadalajara, Mexico, transition toward their new objectives in life.
HP employees facilitated the workshops, which spanned topics such as searching for a first job, creating a resumé, preparing for an interview, understanding compensation and benefits in Mexico, developing self-esteem and leading an independent life, and finding scholarship opportunities.
It was a fulfilling experience, both for the students and the employees.

The workshops were so successful that the HP team held them a second time for 55 graduating students from CRES Estipac Institution in Guadalajara.
