Global Poverty Project
Take action. See impact.
Unemployment and poverty go hand-in-hand.
That’s why HP and the Global Poverty Project
have teamed up. We share a common vision
and a belief in the power of technology to
positively affect social change.
The Global Poverty Project’s mission is to end extreme poverty by inspiring people to take action.
That’s just what will happen on September28 in New York, when the Global Poverty Project’s Global Citizen Festival will see Stevie Wonder, Kings of Leon, Alicia Keys and John Mayer join millions of global citizens around the world in the call to end extreme poverty.
This is a festival with a difference. The only way to get a ticket is by getting involved in a movement to create a world without poverty. The message? Take action. Earn tickets. See impact. The festival is a powerful platform to raise awareness among hundreds of thousands of young people, about the many ways they can get involved in eliminating poverty. That’s where HP comes in. HP LIFE e-Learning for Entrepreneurs is a key initiative supporting the Global Citizen movement.
One of the most effective tools to lift people up out of poverty is education. HP LIFE offers aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners essential business skills and IT training. Available online, HP LIFE e-Learning is free of charge to everyone with Internet access. Two million entrepreneurs have taken part in HP LIFE since 2007, gaining the tools to help build their own businesses and opening the door to lives full of hope.
