Health care coverage optionsThrough HP and insurance exchanges, you have several options for health care coverage and can choose the plan that best fits your needs. The options available to you are based on your and your dependents’ eligibility for Medicare. For details, review the 2015 HP Retiree Annual Enrollment Guide for U.S. retirees.
Please note: you must have login information to HP Continuum to review this information.
Medicare and YouOne of the frequently asked questions we receive from HP retirees is about Medicare benefits. This "Medicare and You" Flash presentation will tell you what you need to know, what you need to do, and when - with respect to Medicare eligibility and enrollment in HP health benefits. It will also point you to other resources that provide more help and information.
If you are unable to view the Flash presentation, download the PDF file.
Aon Retiree Health ExchangeIf you and your covered dependent are both eligible for Medicare, you have access to the Aon Retiree Health Exchange. This resource can help you explore a variety of options and find a plan that meets your needs and budget. The insurance plans offered through the Aon Retiree Health Exchange are individual insurance policies. They are not managed by HP, nor are they part of the HP group program.
When you enroll in a plan through the Aon Retiree Health Exchange, you will need to complete any additional enrollment forms that will be necessary. Medical plan premiums will be paid directly to the medical plan you elect. Depending on the insurance product you elect, you may be able to arrange for your premiums to be paid automatically from your bank account.
If you choose to purchase coverage through the Aon Retiree Health Exchange instead of enrolling in an HP retiree medical plan, you will retain the option to switch back to HP coverage during future annual enrollments or if you have a qualified status change.
