HP has taken the lead on a new approach: thinking beyond just the server and designing a rack-level solution that gives you the right compute for the right workload at the right economics so you can get the most out of your infrastructure—and your budget.
The HP Apollo 6000 System starts with a modular 5U chassis that holds up to 10 independent trays. The ProLiant XL220a Server tray has two 1P servers: each with Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3 series processors, with up to 32Gb memory and up to 2TB storage. The ProLiant XL230a Gen9 Server tray has one 2P server, with Intel’s latest Xeon E5-2600 v3 series processors, providing up to 512Gb memory and up to 4TB of storage. The ProLiant XL250a Gen9 Server tray has one 2P server, with Intel E5-2600v3 series processors, plus up to two NVIDIA Tesla K40 or K80 GPUs, or up to two Intel Xeon Phi 5110P or 7120P Coprocessors, adding up to 14 TeraFLOPS of accelerated performance.
HP rack-level innovations give you the flexibility to fit 20 servers in the space of 5 traditional servers (5U), and power up to 120 servers with a single power shelf.
