Prevent Data Exfiltration with Malware Filters
TippingPoint ThreatDV (formerly Reputation Digital Vaccine – RepDV) is a subscription service that delivers a weekly Auxiliary Digital Vaccine (DV) package to help customers secure against the latest advanced threats, prevent and disrupt malware activity, protect sensitive data, and optimize network performance. DV includes reputation security feeds and malware filters.
The reputation security feed collects data from the HP TippingPoint ThreatLinQ global intelligence network, the DVLabs malware repository, honeypot network, third-party commercial sources, and open source black lists to create a global database of malicious or undesirable IPv4, IPv6, and Domain Name System (DNS) names. A threat score of 1 to 100 is assigned to each entry based on analysis of the activity, source, category, and threat. This security intelligence feed is updated multiple times a day. Malware filters detect infiltration, exfiltration, phone-home, and command-and-control traffic.
- Disrupt malware activity and prevent its goals such as ransomware, data exfiltration, espionage, click fraud, etc.
- Intercept targeted phishing attacks and prevent them from compromising user systems
- Prohibit zero-day attack exploits from known attackers before signatures are available
- Prevent sites that use fast-fluxing IP addresses by blocking DNS host names
