Insight Remote Support A.05.80

You have been directed to this web page as part of a Customer Advisory support communication to make you aware that your HP Insight Remote Support A.05.80 installation is time limited to one year. Hence, it is important to automatically accept or to manually upgrade your Insight Remote Support installation on a regular basis to automatically maintain remote support monitoring and management. HP recommends that you upgrade to the latest Insight Remote Support version version at the earliest opportunity. If you do not update your software for more than one year, monitoring of your environment will stop. However, if this upgrade cannot be achieved within one year of your initial install of Insight RS A.05.80, then the following steps should be carried out. To check if you need to take urgent action, because you are unaware of the original installation date, please follow the instructions below:
  • Logon to your Central Management Server/Hosting Device as a member of the Administrators group
  • Check the updated service obligation date at https://Localhost:7906/obligation
If the Service Obligation status displays as “Expired”, you need to take urgent action as your environment is no longer monitored. Equally, if the Obligation Ending Date is before the date that you are planning to update to Insight Remote Support A.05.80, you also need to take some immediate action. Action required: Follow the instructions below to temporarily extend the life of your HP Insight Remote Support A.05.80 installation. Instructions:

  • Logon to your Central Management Server/Hosting Device as a member of the Administrators group
  • Download the WebesServob.exe script and the servob.jar file from this web page. Click here to download the WebesServob.exe script and here to download the servob.jar file
  • Copy the WebesServob.exe script into the \svctools\common\bin folder on your Central Management Server/Hosting Device
  • Copy the servob.jar file into the \svctools\common\jars folder on your Central Management Server/Hosting Device.
  • Run WebesServob.exe from the \svctools\common\bin folder
  • Check the updated service obligation date at https://Localhost:7906/obligation. The Service Obligation status should be displayed as “Valid” and that the Obligation Ending Date is a date in the future
