Easy Printing for Everybody !

The HP 6700 printer is a great product, it's so easy to use. The Wi-Fi setup is simple to do and to be able to print from anywhere in the world is fantastic. With dual sided printing and economic use of ink - makes this a low cost printer to run. Copying documents straight into a laptop with no fiddling about is a great timesaver. No hesitation in recommending this product !!

Promised much more than it delivered. Very noisy and indicated empty ink cartridge 3 months before it ran out - very naughty. Scanner has never really achieved a consistent service seems to loose connection with computer every day. Shame, as it has a really good display and easy set up also good printer and copier. Luckily, didn't get rid of the 6500 model and it is now back in use - shame it doesn't eprint though, reason I bought the later model!

2 months after the warranty expired the printer quit. Printhead failure. I have tried ALL the fixes on the HP website with no results. It was OK until the failure. I own 3 HP computers, 3 HP printers all but this one has worked for many years without a problem. This 6700 is the newest and the only one that has failed, Go Figure? Not sure if I want to replace the Printhead or send it to the electronic graveyard.
A Good Purchase

I purchased the Printer from ARGOS in Scunthorpe because their in shop terminals clearly stated that it would function in LINUX, I am running a dual boot URBUNTU and Windows 8,,Not being a computer geek, I need to be told in simple terms. Each time I swap from one system to the other, it picks up the network without any problems. I write NVQ work books and need to distribute work to my students by e-mail and fax, once again it functions extremely well. The setting up of the fax was a little unclear, but after sitting and digesting the installation book for a while, I eventually got my head around it. Both the speed and quality of function and printing are more than adequate for a single operative professional such as myself. I started out many years ago with one of the original HP1200C at that time a very expensive printer, but it met my needs. As time and technology have moved on it is unequivocable that HP have risen to the challenge - for the price this product is the one for me. I can now come home, pick up students work, mark it, sign it off and post it back to them. The ability to duplex copy and print all in one function puts it way out in front for me, the other great thing about it is that if I am printing a complete work book for a student, I can hook it up to my Officejet 8100, sit back and just let the pages pop out printed both sides Well done HP
good purchase decision
