Legal requirements

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, HP has one month in which to provide information or take action on an inquiry or complaint. This period may be extended by two further months where necessary, taking into account the complexity of the request. In cases where HP needs additional time to reply, you will be notified of this extension within the original one month deadline.


Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, HP has forty-five days in which to provide information or take action on an inquiry or complaint. This period may be extended by another 45-days where necessary, taking into account the complexity of the request. In cases where HP needs additional time to reply, you will be notified of this extension within the original forty-five-day deadline.


Please note that HP does aim to respond within 5 business days, but the actions requested by you might take longer to complete.
