HP Completes VoodooPC Acquisition

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP today announced it has completed itsacquisition of VoodooPC, a high-end gaming PC provider located inCalgary, Alberta, Canada.

Announced on Sept. 28, theacquisition will strengthen HP’s gaming market portfolio bybringing together the high-end gaming expertise of VoodooPC withHP’s research and development and global distributioncapabilities.

Effective Nov. 1, VoodooPCco-owner Rahul Sood will be the chief technologist for HP’s newlyformed gaming PC business unit, and co-owner Ravi Sood will be theunit’s director of strategy and marketing. Both executives willreport to Phil McKinney, general manager of HP’s gaming businessunit and vice president and chief technology officer of HP’sPersonal Systems Group.
