Bonds' Record-breaking Home Run Game Available Now in DVD from Major League Baseball Productions and HP

PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 9, 2007

HP and Major League Baseball Productions today announced that complete game footage of Barry Bonds’ record-breaking home run will be sold immediately on DVD via HP's DVD manufactured-on-demand services.

Fans may purchase a copy of the Collector´s Replay Edition, featuring the historic 756 home run game, on DVD at San Francisco Giants Dugout Stores and online at www.shop.mlb.com, www.walmart.com www.fye.com and www.suncoast.com.

"Major League Baseball continually strives to deliver new products that meet the demands of our fans," said Elizabeth Scott, vice president, Programming and Business Affairs, Major League Baseball Productions. "The career home run record is cherished. Now fans may own and relive this historic experience with a broadcast-quality, quick-turnaround DVD."

Since 2004, current and classic World Series games have earned critical and retail success as Collector's Edition DVD box sets, such as the "Boston Red Sox 2004 World Series Collector's Edition" and the "New York Yankees 1977 World Series Collector’s Edition." DVD manufactured-on-demand services allows Major League Baseball Productions to further mine its vast vault of games content and make new content available to fans quickly.

Major League Baseball Productions and HP first released manufactured-on-demand individual games in July with Collector’s Replay Edition DVDs of the "2007 Major League Baseball All-Star Game" and the "2007 State Farm Home Run Derby" immediately following the conclusion of those events. Those DVDs continue to be available at a variety of retailers, including www.shop.mlb.com .

"Our ability to rapidly deliver to customers content such as a record-breaking moment in sports history demonstrates the true power of HP’s DVD manufactured-on-demand services,” said Willem de Zoete, vice president and general manager, Digital Entertainment Services, HP.

In addition to sports events, HP’s manufactured-on-demand services may be used to produce a DVD of any movie, TV show or other video content regardless of niche or obscurity. Content currently being targeted for release includes: classic and older TV shows never before released on DVD; foreign movies; specialty genres such as religion, education, lifestyle, health, food and sports; specialty cable TV programming; independent movies; and, recently broadcast TV shows and sporting events that have high relevancy in specific geographic markets or with specific consumer segments.

The service is a component of HP Video Merchant Services, which enables retailers to fulfill the requests of consumers wanting video content in a variety of ways, including digital downloads, traditional packaged DVDs and emerging video formats such as HD DVD and Blu-Ray discs.
