HP Hosts Live Webcast with Zappos Chief Executive Officer Tony Hsieh

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP is hosting a webcast discussion today at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT with Tony Hsieh, author and chief executive officer of online shoe retailer Zappos, as part of the HP’s “Input/Output” web interview series.

With more than 44,500 video streams and 5 million Twitter impressions to date, HP’s Input/Output sessions bring together the foremost thinkers in economics, management, technology, culture and more to discuss the impact of the “new normal” business environment.

The latest webinar in the series, which allows listeners to actively engage in the conversation through Twitter, will explore “Marketing to the New Consumer” and the emerging technologies and IT infrastructure that can be leveraged for customer service.

Consumers are more enlightened and have higher expectations of brands than ever before, giving them the ability to catapult their favorite ones to the forefront of the market. As chief executive officer of a company that is at the forefront of understanding this enlightened consumer, Hsieh’s discussion will explore how consumers are different today compared to 5 to 10 years ago, and how their expectations of customer service have changed.
